Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Sun Coast is a wholesale petroleum marketing company of distinction, supplying fuel, lubricants, transportation services, and a whole host of related products and services throughout 40 states.  Sun Coast has 18 offices and facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. It employs over 800 hazmat-certified drivers assigned to one of the largest and most modern delivery fleets in the nation.  Sun Coast’s oilfield services division alone has 149 crude and condensate trailers to transport oil from the wellhead to major refining centers.  The Company also supplies fueling services to fracking companies, and its nationally recognized emergency fuel division has responded to every named hurricane of note for over a decade.

Sun Coast’s vast and modern delivery arsenal, totaling in hundreds of units, can haul small and large quantities of fuels, chemicals,  bulk & packaged lubricants, and many other specialized products. Sun Coast also features specialty equipment and services such as vacuum trucks, fuel, and lubricant storage tanks, used oil pickup, fluid filtration, fleet fueling, spill response, plus many more offerings.

Kathy Lehne founded Sun Coast Resources, Inc. in 1985 with the idea to purchase premium petroleum products directly from world-class refiners and in turn, supply businesses that required fuel and lubricants to keep them up and running around the clock. Today, Sun Coast has grown into the largest woman-owned business in Texas, not to mention one of the largest wholesale petroleum marketers in the nation.  Sun Coast, with its 1,500 plus dedicated employees, has contributed significantly, in terms of time volunteered and monetarily, to various community programs and organizations in Texas throughout the years.

“The opportunity to sponsor a stretch of highway in Texas is very exciting indeed, explained Kathy Lehne. We are pleased to have joined the Texas Sponsor A Highway® Program!”

Safety is the cornerstone of what governs the actions of Sun Coast Resources, Inc. They have an impeccable record available for public review on ISNetworld’s website concerning the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Safety and Fitness Electronic Records (SAFER) Program. Sun Coast even produced “Day 37”, a safety video that addresses the dangers of driver fatigue and the importance of being well-rested while driving. Clearly, they are a perfect fit to sponsor the safe and efficient cleaning of Texas highways.
